Ojito Wilderness BLM Trail

Ojito Wilderness is one of those places that feels wonderfully far removed from the city, even though it’s surprisingly close to Albuquerque. This trail opens up to classic New Mexico scenery — expansive desert, sandstone formations, sagebrush, and those endless high-desert skies.

It’s a great choice for couples or families who want something earthy, adventurous, and unmistakably New Mexican, without needing a long day of hiking. The open landscape also gives us plenty of room to explore and find different backdrops along the way.
